St. Louis Cardinals star catcher Yadier Molina is saying he wants to play beyond this season. In an interview with ESPN yesterday Molina said he now wants to go 2 more seasons after this one.
His 3 year 60 million dollar contract is set to expire with St. Louis after this year.
Molina previously said that if he and the Cardinals were unable to come to an extension agreement he would retire.
Yesterday Molina told ESPN the COVID-19 pandemic has changed everything and playing for St. Louis is his first option, however if they don’t sign him, then he is willing to go into free agency.
Molina turns 38 in July, and has played 1,992 games in a Cardinal uniform, and labored for 16,327 and 2/3 innings as a catcher.
Mizzou Men’s Basketball has now signed 6 foot 3 graduate transfer guard Drew Buggs.
Head coach Cuonzo Martin made the announcement yesterday.
Buggs joins Mizzou after 3 standout seasons at Hawaii where he started 68 consecutive games and averaged 9.4 points, 5.4 assists and 4.2 rebounds as a junior.
