Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service yesterday (Tuesday):
A stolen vehicle reported on East Love.
A suspicious person at North Washington.
Leaving without paying for gas on West Monroe.
A fight in progress at East Anderson.
A missing person on South Jefferson.
An intoxicated person walking at the corner of North Washington and Liberty.
A stealing or theft at 4820 South Clark.
Two hundred fifty coats collected for this years Coats For Warmth Campaign. This is the 25th year and 10,382 coats have been collected in total. The coats go to Nu-Tone Cleaners and then are taken to Laura Miller George Help to be distributed. Show Me Credit Union and KXEO Radio sponsored the event.
The Missouri Tigers Football team have several commitments over the weekend. Four star wide receiver Charles Njoku from Wayne Hills High School in New Jersey made his announcement on Twitter yesterday (Sunday). He is the younger brother of recent Cleveland Browns first round draft pick David Njoku. Also local defensive back Martez Manuel chose Mizzou….
The Principal at the Fulton High School is being honored with an award. The Student Council’s Northeast District Administrator of the Year is Chris Mincher. Mr. Mincher says it was a surprise to him to receive the award. The award was presented last week.
Jury selection for the trial of Governor Eric Greitens is falling behind schedule. As of midday today, [Friday] fewer than 60 of the 160 potential jurors had been considered, and some who had been scheduled for today will be pushed back to Monday. A missing Columbia teen has been found and is safe. A search for 14 year old Emma Whittle had been ongoing since she disappeared from her home on Monday night. Police say she was found early this (Thursday) morning.
Former game show host Bob Barker is giving more money to a Springfield Missouri University. According to reports from the Springfield News-Leader Barker gave one million dollars to Drury University to support an animal studies program. The university is Barker’s Alma-mater and brings the total amount of money donated in the last decade to 3.1…
