The St. Louis Cardinals say 12 players will be invited to their Alternate Training Site in Springfield, Mo.
Among the 12 players invited are 2020 first round selection third baseman Jordan Walker and 2nd round selection shortstop/pitcher Masyn Winn.
The players are scheduled to report this Sunday, July 12th and begin workouts on Thursday, July 16th.
The 2020 Show-Me State Games are now canceled due to the coronavirus.
According to a press release yesterday (Wednesday) the games have been canceled to protect the health and safety of athletes, spectators, volunteers, officials and the community.
The games were scheduled to take place over the last 2 weekends in July.
Over thirty thousand athletes from across the state participated in the Show-Me State Games last year.
