The City of Centralia is upgrading the system for reading electric meters.
Electric meters will need to be changed out and the city has contracted with Anixter to do the work.
Work will begin Monday, July 27th.
Techs from Anixter will be driving white vans with the company name on the side and will be issued City of Centralia Contractor badges.
Techs will knock on residents’ doors before changing the meters which will disconnect electric service for 30 seconds to a minute.
The work is expected to take six weeks to complete.
