Chief Juvenile Officer Ed Hoover Joins Morning Show

The Audrain County Juvenile Office is looking for some help from the public.

According to Chief Juvenile Officer Ed Hoover, they could use more adult mentors and the process to become one is simple.

The mentors do get paid hourly and the funding for that is grant-based and not taxpayer funded.

The program is designed similarly to a diversion program in that it hopefully prevents youth from being referred to the Juvenile Office in an official capacity later down the road.

Those wanting to become a mentor or those parents who think their child could benefit from the program should contact the Juvenile Office at the Audrain County Courthouse.
