The Community R6 Trojans Baseball Team is headed to the Final Four in the Class 1 State High School Baseball Tournament after defeating the Sacred Heart Gremlins 9 to 4 in Laddonia tonight (Wednesday).
Community senior Gavin Allen set the tone of the game launching a home run in the first inning to give the Trojans a 1-0 lead. Ayden Meranda then extended the Trojans lead with a blast that went yard in the third inning and it was 2-0 Community.
It was a masterful performance on the mound for Trojans starting pitcher Mason Carroll. He pitched a complete game and struck out ten.

The Trojans will play again on Monday, May 29 at 1pm against Platte Valley with a trip to the State Championship Game up for grabs.
