The Mexico High School Lady Bulldogs basketball team played their first game of the season against Owensville at the BlueFish Shootout in Rolla on Saturday, November 18, 2023.
Mexico lost 42-35.
Head coach Makenzie Mudd says “It was back and forth all game with scoring tied going in to the fourth.
Owensville got hot from the three-point line and we ended having to foul. I was impressed with the team and their efforts throughout the game.
It was a great start to the season with so many positives to take away from it.”
Leading the scoring for Mexico was Claire Hudson with nine points.
Jo Thurman contributed eight points.
