A Boone County judge has placed former West Middle School teacher Zachary Hutchinson under home detention after he bonded out on multiple charges.
38-year-old Hutchinson, faces three counts of second-degree statutory sodomy and additional counts including enticement of a child and possession of child pornography.
He posted a $25,000 bond on Wednesday and will be electronically monitored, restricted to his home except for court and attorney meetings, and barred from using electronics or contacting the alleged victim or any minors.
The case stems from an investigation into a reported inappropriate relationship with a female juvenile, with authorities saying sexual contact and exploitation occurred over several weeks.
Hutchinson’s preliminary hearing is set for 8:30 a.m. today in Boone County Court.
