A Jefferson City Correctional Center inmate convicted of murder in Boone County has died.
The Missouri Department of Corrections says 59-year-old Andrew Lucas was pronounced dead early Monday at University Hospital in Columbia.
Lucas was serving a 25-year sentence for second-degree murder after pleading guilty in the 2020 shooting death of Robyn Lucas in Columbia.
He had been in state custody since March 2023.
Prison officials did not release a cause of death.
