Holts Summit Man Arrested After Hours-Long Standoff

A Holts Summit man is in custody after a several-hour standoff with law enforcement Monday.

According to the Holts Summit Police Department, officers and deputies arrested Damien Rotter in the 300 block of South Summit Drive.

Authorities say Rotter was wanted on a felony warrant from the U.S. Marshals Service for probation violations tied to weapon possession.

Due to the circumstances surrounding the warrant, police established a secure perimeter and called in additional regional agencies.

Rotter was taken into custody without further incident.

The Jefferson City Police Department Community Action Team, the Callaway County Special Response Team and Callaway County EMS all assisted at the scene.
