A Boone County judge declared a partial mistrial Friday in a child molestation case involving a man from Iowa.
A jury found 56-year-old Fred Fox of Humeston not guilty on two child molestation charges, but jurors could not reach a verdict on charges of child enticement and sexual misconduct involving a child under 15.
Prosecutors alleged Fox abused a child during visits to Missouri and Iowa over a two-year period.
The mistrial was declared on the remaining charges, and Fox’s bond was reduced to $25,000.
A status hearing is scheduled for June 22 in Boone County.
