Columbia’s 74th annual Fire in the Sky Fourth of July celebration returns to Stephens Lake Park this Friday. Festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. with a performance by the Missouri Symphony, followed by live entertainment, food trucks, family activities and more throughout the evening.
The celebration wraps up with a fireworks show at 9:15, Free parking will be available in City garages and select Boone Hospital lots, with complimentary shuttle service running from 5 to 11 p.m.
Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs, but personal fireworks, grills and sparklers are not allowed.
