Callaway County voters had one final chance Monday to hear from local candidates before the Aug. 4 primary election.
Fulton’s NAACP hosted a candidate forum featuring two Republican candidates for presiding commissioner, Rob Barnes and Clay Chism, along with Democratic candidate Mike Conner.
One of the night’s biggest topics was the proposed Crusoe AI data center near Kingdom City.
The candidates shared differing views, with concerns ranging from the loss of farmland to the project’s economic potential.
Several other local candidates also attended, and voters received information on statewide ballot amendments.
