Hunter Ames and Counsel Request Trial Move in Moberly Teen Murder Case

One of the suspects charged in connection with the disappearance and death of Kayla Huff of Moberly has asked for his case to be moved out of mid-Missouri.

Hunter Ames appeared in Randolph County court, and his attorney asked that the case be moved to Marion County, citing a large amount of media coverage that the case has received.

Ames is charged with first-degree murder, first-degree kidnapping, tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution, second-degree burglary and first-degree property damage.

A decision whether to move the case has not yet been reported in online court records.
