New Leader at Columbia Regional Airport

Columbia Regional Airport has a new leader. Airport Manager Michael Parks is now the airport director, following the city’s reorganization of airport leadership.

Parks has led the airport for nine years, overseeing record passenger growth and the addition of new airlines and destinations.

The airport reported more than 21,800 departing passengers in July more than double the number from the same month last year.

Parks says his focus will remain on expanding air service and meeting the needs of a growing region.
