Rescued Animals Find New Homes
Nearly all of the barnyard animals rescued from a Boone County property in July have found new homes.
Animal Control confiscated 24 sheep, goats and lambs, along with 45 chickens and two turkeys after finding the animals without food or water.
Two lambs were found dead.
The remaining animals were cared for at the Boone County Fairgrounds and in foster homes.
A court ruled Thursday that the Central Missouri Humane Society could place the animals for adoption.
Within hours, all of the goats, sheep and turkeys had been adopted.
