Columbia Road Closures Begin Tuesday

Several construction projects are bringing road closures and restrictions around Columbia starting Tuesday.

Construction begins on a new roundabout at South Fairview Road and Chapel Hill Road. The five-phase project will eventually close South Fairview north of Chapel Hill Road and is expected to be completed in winter 2027.

Grindstone Plaza Drive will also close between Grindstone Parkway and Gray Oak Drive. That closure is expected to last through October eighth.

And the right eastbound lane of West Worley Street near The Shoppes at Stadium will close for stormwater work through September 15th.

Drivers should expect delays and use alternate routes when possible.
