Mexico School Board Approves Cuts

The Mexico School Board votes to cut the budget next year by approximately three hundred fifty thousand dollars.

Mexico Schools Superintendent Kevin Freeman says one the biggest cuts is to cap insurance at 95%.

Some of the other cuts include cutting back to paying half of employees memberships to the YMCA.

Freeman says the board also voted to operate the salary schedule.

The Board voted 7-0 to make the cuts to next years budget.
