A large truck hitting a utility pole on the 1000 block of West Monroe caused damage yesterday (Thursday).
Mexico Public Safety reports it happened just before 1pm, with the pole breaking and bringing power lines down in the roadway.
Ameren responded immediately and cut power to the lines.
The road was blocked for around 15 minutes while situation was being made safe.
No injuries reported in the incident.
