The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a police pursuit preceded a crash on Highway 54 in Cole County that killed three people yesterday [Sunday] afternoon.
Troopers report Demarius Rubin was being pursued in a vehicle stolen a few minutes before the crash.
He reportedly crossed the median and hit a vehicle carrying Bernard and Marilyn Steffel of St. Louis head-on.
All three were pronounced dead at the scene.
