The Fulton Fire Department fought a fire at 304 10th Street early this morning. [Saturday]
According to Fire Chief Kevin Coffelt, crews were called to the blaze around 1:30 and found heavy smoke and flames showing from the front side of a single-story residential structure.
Crews made entry into the house for search and rescue and found a cat, and life saving measures were taken before it was turned over to a local veterinarian for further treatment.
Firefighters spent an extended period of time battling the blaze due to the number of personal items and debris inside the home.
Investigators determined the fire to be accidental in nature and are unable to eliminate an electrical issue being the cause.
