Monroe County Cancer Supporters Banquet Raises Money

The fundraising efforts of the 10th annual Blow Cancer Away Banquet are being released.

According to Gary Yager, President of the Monroe County Cancer Supporters, more than $50,000 was brought in at the event held Saturday night at the high school gym in Monroe City.

Over 400 people attended the banquet and Yager says they are “blessed to have caring, supportive people in the area”.

Monies raised are used to assist Monroe County residents who are diagnosed with cancer.

Plans are already underway for next year’s banquet to be held March 6, 2021 at the Paris High School gym.
