Mexico Bulldogs Football Come From Behind To Win Home Opener Against The Marshall Owls

The Mexico Bulldogs picked up their first win on the new turf at Hawthorne Heights 28-20 over the Marshall Owls.

Mexico would get down early 13-0.

Then come back to tie the game before halftime at 13-13.

Including a 40 yard touchdown pass from Ty Prince to Anthony Shivers.

Marshall’s Malik Evans would return an interception for a 98 yard pick six to put the Owls up 20-13 in the third quarter.

The Bulldogs would continue to  trail 20-13 going into the fourth quarter, and would come back to win the game by putting up 15 points in the fourth quarter.

Ty Prince ended up with 174 total yards including 132 yards rushing.

Dante Billups put up 95 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Michael White had 64 yards on the ground and Anthony Shivers had 58 yards on the ground and 40 yards receiving.

Mexico improved their record to 2-1 and are now 1-0 in the North Central Missouri Conference.

The Bulldogs are at Hannibal for another NCMC battle next week.
