A Columbia man will spend more than a decade in prison for a downtown shooting last year.
Thirty-year-old Deandre Denny pleaded guilty to first- and second-degree assault and armed criminal action.
A judge sentenced him to 12 years behind bars.
Investigators say video shows Denny exchanging gunfire with another man on East Broadway in the early morning hours of November 10, 2024. Both men were shot, and a third person was hit by shrapnel.
Police later identified Denny at a Jefferson City hospital, where he was being treated for a gunshot wound after changing clothes following the shooting.
