A Farber man is recovering after hitting a deer on a motorcycle last night [Sunday] on Highway 54, near Route PP. The Highway Patrol Crash Report says 27 year old Michael McConnell struck the deer, traveled of the right side of the road and overturned. He was transported to SSM St. Mary’s Hospital Audrain.

The Mexico Audrain County Library District has a new director. Longtime employee Christal Bruner has been selected for the position. Bruner says as director she would like to expand the library’s presence on social media. Bruner will also oversee Martinsburg, Ladonnia, Vandalia, and Farber. She officially stepped into her role last week.
