At the Mexico City Council Meeting, the board voted approved the second reading of a 110 million dollar industrial revenue bond to aid in the construction of a 123 thousand square foot facility for Spartan Light Metals to expand their business into electronic vehicles.
City Council also allocated money already figured into the budget for planned street repairs. Bids were sent in from several different companies.
Flomaster won the concrete bid at $67,452 and Chester Bross Construction won the bid for $97,031 to do asphalt work.
City Manager Bruce Slagle was approved to sign a contract with Rad Baker Construction for repairs on East Liberty between Clark and Tyronn Lue Boulevard.
The council approved the purchase of a jetter truck for use by the public works department in the wastewater department at the cost of $205,520 to be purchased from Elliott Equipment Company out of Grandview. They have agreed on a trade in value of the city’s old truck of $15,000.
